As a matter of policy all defence stores will be transported by Sea and Air from abroad against FOB contracts through Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) and Pakistan International Airline (PIA) or any other ship/airline carrying Pakistan Flag whose first port/airport of call is Pakistan. In case no PIA/PNSC or another Pakistani Flag
vessel/Airline is available, the stores may be shipped on Foreign Flag vessel/Airline whose first port/airport of call is Karachi or Islamabad respectively provided prior
approval of Director General Defence Purchase has been obtained.
Payment of freight bills will be made in Pak rupees at actual by CMA (DP) on receipt of store by the consignee. However, payment to foreign flag vessel / airlines is made in foreign exchange on pre paid basis.
